IVF Update #11: Getting Closer

Hello friends and family,

First of all, we just want to say how incredibly astounded and blessed we feel by the outpouring of generosity we have received from family, friends, loved ones, and even strangers on the GoFundMe page created on our behalf.  From the bottom of our hearts: THANK YOU.

God has continued to provide in many different ways; all of which have been unexpected.  Frankly, we are still a little bit in shock.

As far as updates go, we had an appointment this morning to see if Jess was on track for our upcoming transfer.  Things are progressing, but we're not quite there yet.  We go back for another check next week.

We are trying to be patient as we wait for our official transfer date.  This will come once we get the green light to start injections again.  Right now it feels like lots of waiting.  Something you'd think we'd be used to by now. ;) 
Prayer Requests:
1. Please pray that Jess would continue to progress and we would get our green light at her next appointment.

2. Praise! God has provided for us once again - through you all. We can't express how loved and supported we feel and humbled that you would bear our burdens with us in this way.

3. Jess has had a cold all week.  Nothing major, but it's no fun being sick when you're hopped up on hormones.  We would appreciate prayers for a healthy body as she will need her strength in the coming weeks.

Hello friends and family, It's official!  We're having a baby!!! Meet our little "squudge": We had our first OB ultrasound this morning and confirmed that baby is indeed growing in the right place, sized perfectly for his/her gestational age, and we even got to see a tiny heartbeat flicker on the screen! We know that there is still a long way to go, but we are feeling very hopeful and optimistic.  This is the first time we've seen a heartbeat with any of our pregnancies.  It has been a really great day. Our next appointment is  in two weeks  and if all goes well we will "graduate" from the fertility center!   Prayer Requests: 1. Praise! We are pregnant!  We are so overjoyed and thankful for this little life. 2. Pray that our baby would continue to grow strong and healthy. 3. Please pray for peace and trust in God.  Because of our past losses, it is hard not to brace for bad news at each appointment.  Please p

IVF Update #9: Embryos On Ice

Hello friends and family, We are thankful to share that 5 embryos made it to "full maturity" on Wednesday.  As of today (Thursday) one more had made it giving us a total of 6 frozen embryos right now.  Four more are still maturing and we have lost 3 so far. The doctors have also told us that the frozen embryos are "grade A/B" which means they "look great" to them.  What that means exactly, we are not sure but we will take it!  Our future babies are already overachieving... they get that from Jess. The next step now will be to wait for Day 1 of Jess' cycle to begin the hormones in order to begin the process of transferring one of our precious ones back inside Jess. Prayer Requests: 1. That we would trust that the "still-growing" embryos are in God's hands. 2. Continued patience and peace. 3. Praise! Long Story, Short...er...Shortened
